Have you ever thought about the stone David used to kill Goliath?
For years, that stone likely sat among countless others, feeling ordinary, insignificant, and unnoticed. It must have seemed no different from the rocks around it—until one day, it was chosen.
That stone carries a profound lesson about purpose. You may feel like just another face in the crowd, blending in, unnoticed. But like that stone, your life has been shaped for something specific, something extraordinary. Every experience, every delay, and every challenge has been preparing you for a moment of divine alignment—a moment when your purpose becomes clear.
Think about it: the stone probably lay in that brook for years, simply being a stone. Then, one day, it was suddenly picked up, perhaps uncertain of what was next. Moments later, it was propelled from David’s sling, striking down a giant. And in that instant, it fulfilled the purpose for which it was created, as if to say, “This is why I exist.”
When David selected the stone, it wasn’t random. That stone had been chosen, prepared, and placed in the right spot at the right time. And when its Kairos moment—the appointed time—arrived, it fulfilled its purpose with precision and power. The other four stones David carried weren’t wasted; they were ready, waiting for their turn if needed. But the first stone had its time, its moment, and its victory.
You might be waiting for your own Goliath moment, wondering if your life has meaning. Remember this: you are not just another stone. You were created for a purpose. And when the time comes, you’ll understand why you were chosen. Until then, trust the process. Be patient. Stay ready.
When your moment arrives, like the stone in David’s sling, you’ll know: this is what I was made for.
“We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us; for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it.” – Ephesians 2:10 TPT
Have an amazing weekend!

Until one day, it was chosen. It’s so amazing to know that we have been chosen and just preparing and waiting patiently for our one day.
Thank you Dr for the profound lesson.
