I remember my first time in London, navigating the famous Underground tube. It was a world of efficiency — trains arriving every 3 minutes like clockwork, each heading to its destination. Yet, despite the frequency, I noticed something curious: no matter how crowded the train, people would still rush to get onto the one right in front of them, almost as if it were the last.
It made me reflect on life. Just like the London tube, opportunities come around more often than we realize. But so often, we scramble for the ones right in front of us, feeling pressured, afraid we might miss out. We forget that another opportunity — perhaps even a better one — is just around the corner, if only we have the patience and faith to wait.
In life, it’s easy to feel that urgency, the need to jump onto every crowded train of opportunity without stopping to think if it’s really the best fit for us. But sometimes, the wisest move is to step back, trust in the process, and wait for the right moment. There’s no need to push ourselves into places we don’t belong just because everyone else is rushing there.
Opportunities, like those London tubes, keep coming. Don’t be afraid to pause, breathe, and let the crowded ones pass. There’s always another one on the way.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31
Just as we trust that another train will come, we can trust that God’s timing is perfect. When we wait on Him, we gain strength, clarity, and direction. There’s no need to rush—His plans for us are never late.
Have a great weekend.
