The time is 00:00 as I type this post.

It has been over 6 months since I had this website created and yet I could not bring myself to write anything on it. For months, I have pondered on what I would like my first post to be. I was of the opinion that this can either make or mar this venture and I subsequently overthought it.

While scrolling through my phone at this odd hour, I stumbled upon an interesting event in 1 Samuel 14 (A book of the bible just in case you are wondering).

1 Samuel 14:6
“Jonathan said to his young armour-bearer, come, let’s go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised men. Perhaps the Lord will act on our behalf.
Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few”

Usually, when Israel’s kings went into battle it was because they had received a word from the lord assuring their victory. Jonathan had received no such word.
He simply said, “Perhaps the Lord will act on our behalf”. And it turned out to be a brilliant decision.

1 Samuel 14: 23
“So on that day, the Lord saved Israel…”

Most people operate out of the opposite mentality. They let fear dictate their decisions instead of faith. So they end up with/like Saul, sitting on the sidelines.

All it took Jonathan was one daring decision! That’s all. When you move, God will move on your behalf. Though it’s often the longest, hardest, and scariest step you’ve ever taken.

And on this note, I have decided to start posting on my website and stop waiting for the perfect post or perfect day.

And more importantly, I hope this post and the subsequent ones spur you to take action in life.
